Located in the heart of Central Minnesota, The Great Blue Heron has been a dining landmark for nearly 50 years.  The Stang family has been a part of this legacy for over 2 decades. 

Nic started at age 14 washing dishes and worked his way up to head chef.

Chrissy, Nic’s wife, started managing the front of the house, bartending and serving 22 years ago.

Kathy, Nic’s mother, with 23 years of customer service experience joined them in 2004 and together they purchased the business.

Since then the Stang family along with their amazing team have been providing great food and outstanding service to the community not only at their supper club and event center in Cold Spring but to all of Central Minnesota with their full service, professional offsite catering.

The Great Blue Heron family is grateful for their loyal patrons and look forward to many more years of serving the community and building long lasting relationships.
